چکیده

Quantum information and computation, based on quantum correlations of quantum systems, is one of the promising new fields of physics and information science. Entanglement is the key resource of quantum information processing. However, it is shown recently that quantum entanglement is not the only kind of quantum correlations useful for quantum information processing. Quantum systems without any entanglement can still be helpful for quantum information processing since unentangled systems could have another kind of quantum correlations – quantum discord. Thus, quantum discord has drawn much attention in recent years. Here, we briefly review the concepts and properties of quantum discord. Several measures of discord including the original measure of discord, relative entropy-based discord, geometric discord, global discord, Gaussian discord, are reviewed and discussed.

Multipartite quantum correlations and local recoverability.

Characterizing genuine multipartite quantum correlations in quantum physical systems has historically been a challenging problem in quantum information theory. More recently, however, the total correlation or multipartite information measure has been helpful in accomplishing this goal, especially with the multipartite symmetric quantum (MSQ) discord (Piani et al. 2008 Phys. Rev. Lett. 100, 0905...

Two measures of quantum correlations and some applications

This paper reviews two well-studied measures of quantum correlations which exist between the subsystems that consists the most simple composite systems (bipartite systems). The first one is Entanglement of Formation (EoF) and quantifies the entanglement while the second one, the quantum discord (QD), is a measure of all quantum correlations of the bipartite system. Here the theoretical backgrou...

Are general quantum correlations monogamous?

Quantum entanglement and quantum nonlocality are known to exhibit monogamy; that is, they obey strong constraints on how they can be distributed among multipartite systems. Quantum correlations that comprise and go beyond entanglement are quantified by, e.g., quantum discord. It was observed recently that for some states quantum discord is not monogamous. We prove, in general, that any measure ...

Genuine quantum and classical correlations in multipartite systems.

Generalizing the quantifiers used to classify correlations in bipartite systems, we define genuine total, quantum, and classical correlations in multipartite systems. The measure we give is based on the use of relative entropy to quantify the distance between two density matrices. Moreover, we show that, for pure states of three qubits, both quantum and classical bipartite correlations obey a l...

حفظ و مقایسه درهم‌تنیدگی، ناسازگاری و همدوسی کوانتومی بین کیوبیت‌های متحرک در کاواک‌های نشت کننده

In this study, we consider a composed system consisting of two identical non-interacting subsystems. Each sub-system is made of a moving qubit into a leaky cavity. The study of the dynamic of the composed system revealed that compared with the stationary qubits, entanglement, quantum discord and coherence between two moving qubits remained close to their initial values as time went by. In parti...
